More Allegations in Fallout From FoleyGate

Several years ago I was given a copy of The Franklin Cover-up: Child Abuse, Satanism, and Murder in Nebraska by John DeCamp, attorney and former Nebraska State Senator. I read a couple of chapters, and tossed it aside. The horrors described within were beyond comprehension and I could not believe they were true. Although tempted to throw the book away, it has languished on my bookshelf. I leafed through it a bit, and refreshed my memory about the sexual abuse of children that reached from GOP operatives in Nebraska, allegedly to members of the Reagan-Bush White House.

Several of those either involved in or investigating the Franklin case wound up dead under very strange circumstances, including William Colby, former director of the CIA.

The current scandal may be but a continuation of a long-standing ring of pedophiles operating within the GOP.

Wayne Madsen Report today claims inside sources alleging Denny Hastert shielded Foley for personal reasons:

October 7/8, 2006 -- The rumors about another top GOP member of the House being involved in sexual encounters with young "men for hire" are confirmed to WMR by well-placed sources in Washington's gay community. The member in question is House Speaker Dennis Hastert, whose "alternate" life style is the primary reason for him and his staff covering up the scandal involving ex-Florida GOP Rep. Mark Foley and his lewd messages sent to underage male congressional pages....

Madsen also reported that Hastert has been under scrutiny in the past, concerning alleged inappropriate behavior with high school boys during his former career as a high school wrestling coach.

Wonkette has labeled the fall of Foley and bumbling cover-up the "Cocktober Surprise," and the blogosphere is predicting more revelations to come.
