Yesterday our favorite weather guy at The Two Dollar Bill pointed out to us that the melting of Arctic sea ice is proceeding at a rapid clip. According to USA TODAY, it's about 30 years ahead of projections.
A new island has appeared off the coast of Greenland, aptly named Warming Island. It was previously thought to be a peninsula, before the glacier melted that connected it to the mainland. The Independent calls this "the most alarming sign of global warming." If the entire Greenland ice sheet melts, sea level will rise 23 feet.
If you are living in a coastal area, you might want to invest in a nice rubber raft.
